Maintaining Your Beautiful Smile!

After your preparation appointment, you will have a temporary bridge on your teeth. Brush your teeth and gums that have temporaries just like your other teeth, but flossing the temp may not be possible. If your temporary comes off, call our office to have it re-cemented. If coming to the office is not convenient, you can use a drop of denture adhesive (Poly-grip available at drug stores) to stick the temporary to the tooth. You may have to reapply the denture adhesive several times a day.

After receiving your bridge, tooth sensitivity should be minimal. Gum tissue may be tender for a few days and warm saltwater rinses would be soothing. Brush, floss and chew on your new teeth. If chewing sensitivity occurs, call our office. Your new teeth may be hitting prematurely and need a slight adjustment
